Fire crews battled a fire at a vacant home in North Omaha on Friday afternoon.
Omaha Fire Department responded to the scene near Fontenelle Boulevard and Ames Avenue at 4:45 p.m. When they arrived, the house was engulfed in heavy smoke and flames. Firefighters worked quickly and brought the fire under control in about 30 minutes.
No injuries were reported, as the home was unoccupied.
Investigators are still determining the cause of the fire. However, neighbors told officials they had seen people coming and going from the property before the fire started.
