Nebraska News previously reported on a potential food delivery scam impacting both businesses and customers.
Some customers claimed a website called Bring Me That charged them for food that was never delivered. Meanwhile, some Omaha restaurant owners discovered their businesses were listed on the site without their knowledge.
According to the Better Business Bureau, Bring Me That has been closed for years but is still accepting orders.
In response, Google Business Profile Specialist Clay Seaman provided a step-by-step guide for restaurant owners to remove their business from the site:
- Log in to your Google Business Profile.
- Select the “food ordering” icon.
- If Bring Me That appears on the next page, select “remove provider.”
- You’ll be redirected to Bring Me That, where you can fill out your information to request removal.
Google states that third-party providers are required to remove links from a business profile within five days of receiving a request. If the issue isn’t resolved, restaurant owners can report a violation.
