Omaha Police are investigating a Sunday morning shooting in South Omaha that left one person injured and another detained.
According to Omaha Police, officers responded to a report of an armed individual near 11th and Center Streets, followed by a separate call about a shooting near 12th and Center Streets around 11 a.m. Authorities later confirmed the two incidents were connected.
A 28-year-old man was shot during an altercation and transported to Nebraska Medicine with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say they have detained a person of interest as the investigation continues.
