A Minnesota man is facing drug charges after a traffic stop on Highway 20 in Northeast Nebraska led to a significant marijuana seizure.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, troopers pulled over 40-year-old Coty Weber of Saint Peter, Minnesota, around 7:20 p.m. on Friday, March 7, near the intersection of Highway 20 and Highway 81 in Pierce County, north of Norfolk.
Troopers reported seeing marijuana in plain view inside the pickup. A search of the vehicle uncovered 252 pounds of marijuana inside the cab and truck bed.
Weber was arrested and booked into the Pierce County Jail. He faces charges of driving with a suspended license, possession of more than one pound of marijuana, and possession with intent to deliver.
