Police Investigating Midtown Omaha Shooting That Injured One

Omaha police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning near midtown.

According to the Omaha Police Department (OPD), officers responded to reports of gunfire near 33rd and Burt Streets around 7 a.m. Sunday.

Later that day, at approximately noon, a 22-year-old man arrived at CHI Health CUMC-Bergan Mercy with a gunshot wound. Police say the victim refused to provide details about how he was injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
