A 19-year-old has died following a fiery crash in southwest Iowa early Sunday morning.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash happened around 2:40 a.m. on 210th Street, east of Willow Avenue in Page County.
Authorities say a Ford F-350 was traveling eastbound on 210th Street when it went over a hill, lost control, and veered off the road. The truck went into a ditch, then crashed into a wooded area, hitting multiple trees. The impact launched the vehicle, which landed upside-down before bursting into flames.
The driver has been identified as 19-year-old Jase Wilmes of New Market, Iowa.
