Three people have been sentenced after an Omaha Police Department (OPD) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) operation uncovered a sex trafficking case involving a missing Kansas girl.
How the Investigation Began
- In November 2022, OPD arrested a woman and a juvenile girl for shoplifting at a Walmart on South 72nd Street.
- The juvenile was reported missing from Kansas and had been staying in an Omaha hotel with the woman.
- A search of the hotel room revealed narcotics, cash, and items linked to commercial sexual activity.
- OPD partnered with Wichita Police and HSI to track down additional suspects.
Sentences Handed Down in 2025
- Alexas Davis (24) – 9 years for conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking of a minor.
- Joan Robinson (35) – 19.5 years for transporting a minor for prostitution.
- Khalah Beard (24) – Just over 10 years for conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking of a minor.
