Two people were hospitalized following a crash in south Lincoln on Friday afternoon, which blocked traffic for several hours.
Lincoln Police and first responders were called to the scene near 40th Street and Old Cheney Road shortly after 4 p.m. Authorities said a sedan traveling southbound collided with a northbound pickup truck in the intersection.
Both drivers were taken to a local hospital, with one suffering life-threatening injuries, according to LPD.
The intersection remained closed for more than four hours as investigators worked at the scene. Traffic has since reopened in the area.
